Who I am
I am CEO and Founder of Visory, an AI-powered fintech delivering managed financial back-office services to Australian and US SMBs. I write “AI from the Inside” on Substack: a newsletter on practical AI implementation from someone actively building and deploying these systems.
I have spent nearly two decades in financial services. I helped scale Findex, a family-founded business, into one of Australia and New Zealand's largest professional services groups; growing in my time from 40 staff to more than 3,000 people in over 110 locations. I founded Visory to prove that expert financial services could be delivered as a product, not a relationship. That thesis, “Service as a Software,” is now the foundation of everything I build.
What I am focused on right now
Productising services through AI-driven automation. This is priority one by a wide margin. At Visory, this means building out our core offering, to put SMBs financial back-offices on autopilot. It also increasingly means building out Agent-source: a B2B product that delivers completed accounting work outcomes to accounting firms as an alternative to offshore labour.
I started writing “AI from the Inside” publicly because I felt I had to. The change happening to knowledge work, driven by advancements in AI, is immense and imminent. Leading an AI-native business, I see what actually changes when AI moves from theory to production. My substack is where I share those lessons: what works, what doesn't, and what it really takes to lead through a shift this significant.
Outside work
I am an abstract expressionist painter exploring identity and gestural mark-making. Painting is the counterweight to everything else: no metrics, no deadlines, no optimisation. Just material and instinct.
I have also had a long and very enjoyable amateur football career with Old Melburnians FC, which I'm still a passionate supporter of today.
